Not to be confused with the Progressive Dark/Gothic Metal Band Katharsis (Ger) from Rheinmünster or Katharsis (Ger).

Katharsis recorded their first demo with a different three-piece line-up and then continued for a while as a duo of Drakh (vocals, drums, guitar) and Scorn (guitar, bass) after kicking out their original singer.
